This Beauty Vlogger’s Confession Will Inspire You

makeup how-to’s and tons of courage

Thanks to Mic for pointing out this bit of online bravery. We honestly didn’t know about beauty vlogger Jordan Bone before we saw this, but now we’ll never forget her.

Tattooed and just the kind of girl we’d want to hang out with, Bone had developed a following of thousands before she addressed one of the most common questions people have about her tutorials on eyeshadow, contouring, and the like. "Most of the time when I upload a video,” Bone says in the latest entry on her YouTube account, “I have questions about my hands. Truth is, I can't move them, open them, or close them. And it's all because 10 years ago, I became a tetraplegic after a car accident.” She continues, “So to be able to do my makeup good enough to show you guys is a massive achievement for me.”

Indeed it is, and her candid, makeup-free confession explaining her “Beautiful Struggle” has, to date, garnered over 3.3 million views. It’s not only inspiring, heartbreaking, and heartwarming, but has attracted her a whole, new clutch of supporters, fans, and followers. We’ve joined them.

Take a look for yourself. It’s a great reminder that by the grace of confronting and overcoming the seemingly insurmountable, almost any personal action can become something brave, beautiful, and inspiring.
