A Barbie x Puma Collaboration Is In The Works

Coming this fall

by Wolfgang Ruth

A new Barbie collaboration is in the works, and this time around, things are getting sporty.

WWD has just announced that Mattel Inc. is joining forces with Puma for a clothing and shoe line for women and girls, set to be released in late fall. This new offering will see Barbie—who is now 59 years old—taking on streetwear. From what we can see so far, the line includes logo-emblazoned tops and ribbon bow-embellished sneakers.

“Barbie is a really exciting canvas for brands to play with and we love our partnerships and we love working with partners and Puma represents a really exciting, iconic brand similar to Barbie,” said Lisa McKnight, senior vice president and general manager of Barbie, in a statement.

With decades of fashion under her belt—and recent collabs with brands like Sephora, Missguided, and Show Me Your Mumu—this is one way to mark her 60th birthday.

While we don’t have word on a launch date just yet, we do know that the collection will range from $50 to $100. Stay tuned as more information about the collection is revealed.
