Buckle Up For The Return Of The Fanny Pack

Fashion comeback

by Marissa Smith

You might have read this headline and felt yourself recoil in fear. In fact, this might be nothing more than a hate click! Look, I get it, but hear me out. Last summer, I was in London and Paris, and there was one thing the fashionable people—girls and guys, alike—had in common: you guessed it, fanny packs.

At first, I was like, "No, this is too hypebeast, even for me." But by the end of my time abroad, I grew to want one really badly, and I've been lusting over fanny packs ever since.

Now, months later and after attending Men's New York Fashion Week, I've seen a resurgence of them on fashion editors and fashion lovers alike. Still resistant? Think of it this way: You don't even have to call them fanny packs anymore. You can start calling them hip packs, which sounds at least a little bit better, right?

Need more convincing? Click through our list of the best fanny, er, I mean hip packs to buy right now and try not to want to strap this trend on as soon as possible.
