Betsey Johnson Just Launched Her Second Collection With Capezio
And it’s very on pointe
Betsey Johnson has just debuted her second collaboration with dance apparel and accessories brand Capezio, and it’s exactly what you would expect: the perfect mix of “performance, princess, and punk.”
Betsey Johnson x Capezio is comprised of performance-oriented pieces (leotards, graphic tops, tutus, and more) that are very Betsey—from her signature scribble graphics and punk rock themes to, of course, lots of pink. Overall, the collection is fun, loud, and eccentric with all of the tulle, fishnet, and bows you could ever want to be a punk ballerina, all ranging from $20 to $120.
Johnson and Capezio enlisted dancer, model, and actress Larsen Thompson as the star of the campaign, and the 15-year-old says it’s a dream come true. “Betsey Johnson is a fashion icon that I have looked up to since I was a little girl and she continues to inspire and motivate others to do what they love to do through fashion. Capezio is an amazing brand that has been around for a long time now and has made a positive impact in the dance world from the beginning. My love for Betsey Johnson and Capezio is never-ending." she said in a statement.
Johnson, who was a dancer for years herself, is super excited for her second performance wear collection. “When I was a young dancer, one of my favorite parts of dance were the beautiful costumes I got to wear,” she told us. “Every time I stepped into my dancewear, I was able to transform! I’m so excited to see girls everywhere prance, dance, and twirl in their Betsey Johnson x Capezio dancewear.”
The first few pieces of the collection launched today and are available at Capezio stores nationwide and Capezio.com. Stay tuned for the rest to launch this July.
