Watch Maddie Ziegler Get Emotional in Sia’s “Big Girls Cry”

“big girls cry.”

We'll admit that we watched a few episodes of Dance Moms here and there, but it was Sia's euphoric, instantly viral video for her then-single "Chandelier" that made us fall in love with Maddie Ziegler. Now, in the final video of the singer's Ziegler-centered trilogy, we're seeing a different side of the same girl who danced a heartbreaking pas de deux with one Shia LaBeouf.

In the video for "Big Girls Cry," Ziegler doesn't show off her athletic dancing skills, but instead showcases her impressive acting skills. In the facially-focused video, the 12-year-old goes through a vast range of emotions in three-and-a-half minutes. It's almost hard to believe that she's not some sort of wise, experienced, ethereal being in the body of a preteen girl. Just as she does in the studio and on stage, Ziegler commits herself fully, resulting in a product that impresses, inspires, and leaves us knowing that the young dancer is bound for continued success. Consider us fans for life.
