Our Favorite Jelly Sandals Just Got Turned Into A Bag

It’s waterproof and eco-friendly

by Syra Aburto

When jelly shoes came back into style in the summer of 2013, the little girl in us did a victory dance. Brazilian-based shoe brand Melissa has managed to keep the music going by reinventing the jelly style with each coming season—from fisherman platforms to cotton candy oxfords. Yes, with jelly material. Now, the brand is uniting with Cambridge Satchel Company to bring the material to satchels.

You might recognize Cambridge Satchel as the bag every fashion person was rocking a couple of years back. This new version is not only just as trendy, but also eco-friendly and waterproof. The line, launching today, features petite 11-inch bags in three colors: a classic red, the perpetually stylish black, and a futuristic hologram. Both Melissa and Cambridge Satchel have done collabs with the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and Vivienne Westwood in the past, but the latest one is definitely worth checking out. They retail for $155 and can be purchased here.

You can see the bags in the gallery below.
