Cara Delevingne Is The Face Of A Saint Laurent Campaign

She’s back!

by Jenna Igneri

Saint Laurent has just announced Cara Delevingne as the face of their Fall 2016 “La Collection de Paris” ad campaign. Earlier this morning, the label took to their Twitter to post four photos of the model-turned-actress in their latest campaign. This comes just a day after unveiling Jane Birkin as the newest addition to the brand's music project.

The ads feature Delevingne in (of course) the iconic “Le Smoking” suit, as well as in pieces from the heavily '80s-influenced Fall 2016 collection, including a fur coat with some major shoulders. However, this isn’t the first time she's worked with the creative director, Hedi Slimane, for Saint Laurent. She’s walked in two of his shows (Fall 2013 and Spring 2015) and was featured in both campaigns. She also has modeled for two Yves Saint Laurent Beauty ads.

For someone who claims to have left the modeling industry, she’s had quite a big 2016 so far (you know, on top of production being in full swing for her upcoming sci-fi flick). First, she starred in Chanel’s newest eyewear campaign—which we assumed was just a favor to her BFF Karl Lagerfeld—but then she played muse to artist Jonathan Yeo, who has nine of her painted portraits displayed in his retrospective, and now this.

I mean, she did tweet this right before her Chanel campaign launched:

Does this campaign confirm the quirky Instagram star's official return to the fashion world? We certainly hope so.
