Christina Grimmie’s Family Releases Her Last Music Video
Her voice will live on
It's been nearly three months since the tragic shooting of singer Christina Grimmie after one of her concerts in Orlando, Florida. But ever since that night, Grimmie's family has done their best to keep the singer in the minds and hearts of her large fan base. Before she passed away, Grimmie, who finished in third place on The Voice, recorded four music videos for her EP, Side A, and her family has been releasing them steadily over the several weeks.
What began three weeks ago with the release of "Snow White," ends today with the release of Grimmie's final video, for the urgent ballad "Without Him." Along with "Snow White," "Anybody's You," and "Deception," the latest video completes The Ballad of Jessica Blue, a story about the title character’s “journey into self-discovery through her love life, her womanhood, and her music.”
In the clip, we see Grimmie as Jessica Blue finally realizing her destiny by performing on stage at a showcase that she's been worrying about throughout the story. It's a fitting coda for the singer. We're reminded not just of her powerhouse voice, but also of her considerable stage presence. Watch the video above.
