Danny L Harle And Caroline Polachek Get Pixelated In Their “Ashes Of Love” Video

Danny L Harle + Caroline Polachek made a trippy visual for their pop banger

by Sydney Gore

This year, we have heard pop music shift its beat with the snap of a finger. Artists like Danny L Harle and Caroline Polachek are completely changing the genre's formula, so when they worked together on a track it totally blew our minds. Today, the collaborators released an official music video for their dynamic single "Ashes Of Love," and it's about as crazy and weird as you would expect.

Directed by Sam Rolfes, we are transported to some sort of virtual reality that looks like it's straight out of a video game—Polachek dances in the middle of a flooded river during a psychedelic storm while a projected screen of her face sings the tune behind her. Harle is nowhere to be seen, but his presence can be heard in the track's booming production.

The first time that we spoke with the resident PC Music producer, he explained that his interest in pop music is to create material that can be taken to the highest level while also being relatable. "I want it to be big, I want it to be huge, and I want as many people to hear it as possible," said Harle.

Mission accomplished. Nerds rejoice, this one's for you. Watch the saturated, pixelated adventure, above.
