Just in time for music festival season, Emma Roberts got a total hair makeover—she's now a "desert rose" brunette.
Just a few days ago, she ditched her bleached blonde lob for a more natural, bohemian look. She took to her Instagram to show off her new ‘do, captioning the photo, “Change is always a good idea,” thanking Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri of Nine Zero One Salon in West Hollywood, California, for her new style and color.
For her new look, which she’s calling “desert rose,” Roberts’ darkened her light locks to a warm brown with some subtle blonde highlights. She’s also lengthened her lob, that she’s had since the fall, thanks to extensions by Capri. Her whole look has a very boho, off-duty feel, especially when her soft, beachy waves are paired with a simple gray tee and black cat eye frames, as seen above.
According to a press release, Lee and Capri wanted to give Emma's hair a break from the blonde: "She was itching for a change. Nikki and Emma decided #DesertRose was the color she needed to be. She's never been this color before and it's perfect for Coachella! It looks amazing on her skin tone and since she will only need to do a base color this will give her hair an opportunity to get healthy.”
Lee also posted a pic of the Scream Queens actress with the caption “just in time for #Coachella,” and we couldn’t agree more. Roberts’ new look has a laid-back, Cali girl vibe that totally fits in with the music festival’s signature aesthetic. Roberts, who has been an attendee of the annual music fest for years now, is going to kill the hair game this year. We're sure it's only a matter of time before others follow suit—will #DesertRose become spring's new it color?
