FKA twigs opens up about pregnancy

the mysterious singer opens up

It's hard to believe there was a time when FKA twigs was a mysterious spectre, who had just a few surreal music videos on YouTube and left a bunch of music bloggers scrambling to find out who she really was (including this one). But now that she's a global star with a very famous boyfriend, twigs is an in-demand artist who every once in a while needs to explain the process behind her enigmatic ways.

The Creators Project recently sat down with the British singer for a behind-the-scenes look at her video for "Glass & Patron," and twigs opened up about several things, including why she chose to wear a pregnancy prosthetic in the video. "If I see a pregant woman get on the tube, I'm always like, can't stop staring," she said. "That's so incredible, to think that women can grow something inside their bodies."

She also opened up about her background as a dancer, providing some insight into her genesis as an artist. "I worked my ass off as a kid to be trained properly, and the first music video I did, it's kind of, 'Can you put on these shorts, can you stand over here, can you rub up this rapper's leg?' I remember thinking, ten years of training for this?'
