Grimes Shoots the Video For Hana’s Wonderful Single, “Clay”
expect very big things
Last month, Grimes told the world about a singer named HANA, when she shared her astounding debut track, "Clay." When Lorde did the same, calling "Clay" "too shimmering and beautiful for words," the Internet had a collective freakout, and HANA became the latest in parade of artists who spontaneously emerge from the ether, poised for stardom.
It makes sense. The Blood Diamonds-produced "Clay" is a piece of pop perfection that yes, is too shimmering and beautiful for words, which HANA has been coming out to perform during Grimes' set on her Endless Summer tour with Lana Del Rey. In fact, from June 14 to 16, Grimes and musician James Brooks shot the video for "Clay," an informal montage of footage showing HANA performing the song during soundcheck, in front of a live audience, in bedrooms, and just generally goofing around. It's a delight.
