This New Instagram Update Will Fix One Of Its Most Frustrating Features

and keep you on track

by Sydney Gore

In the world of social media, it's really important to keep your dates straight. Instagram knows this, which is probably why the app will now display the exact date that your posts were uploaded.

Before, we were only shown the time of the posted photo, broken down into seconds, minutes, hours, days, and weeks. This made a photo taken 127 weeks ago hard to instantly place on our physical calendars. The update will simply list out the entire date by month, day, and year.

The new time stamp feature has not been activated for all users yet, but those that have seen the change seem thrilled about it. Now it will be so much easier to remember when moments actually happened rather than having to do the math.

Bless you, Instagram.
