Katy Perry’s Holiday Campaign For H&M Has (Almost) Arrived
what are those (on her ears)?
Christmas continues to come early this year, and Katy Perry wants to be the ultimate gift giver. This summer, the singer practically gave us Christmas in July when she revealed that she would be the face of H&M's holiday campaign. Today, the clothing brand released some images from the print campaign and included a few wonderful surprises that have us feeling in the holiday spirit.
In the official press release, H&M shared some major details about the commercial—"Katy first appears as a fairy before conjuring to life an unbelievable cast of characters, from life-sized gingerbread men, to oversized presents on roller skates and giant teddy bears. The action is fast-paced and ever-changing, with Katy giving every scene her own twist." The theme song for the commercial will be “Every Day Is A Holiday,” a brand-new song written by Perry and produced by Duke Dumont debuting on November 23.
“I had such a festive time shooting this larger-than-life holiday commercial with Jonas Åkerlund, and all of the fun clothes, especially my favorite, the Elfie Selfie sweater," Perry said in the press release. "H&M has been a part of the evolution of my personal style since I was 13, when I would start to incorporate fun, affordable H&M pieces into my vintage wardrobe. I can’t wait for you to give your wardrobe some sparkle with this magical holiday collection."
