Brace yourselves: Reality star, liquid lipstick mogul, and, most recently, high school prom attendee Kylie Jenner is getting her very own reality show. Get ready to see the world in Kylie vision on Life of Kylie.
E!'s new eight-episode series will show us the world from Jenner’s POV, touching on everything from her friendships and family to work. Will we finally be getting that full tour of the Kylie Cosmetics factory we’ve been waiting for? Come summer, we'll see.
In a world where reality stars get their own spin-offs upon spin-offs of original successes (Keeping Up with the Kardashians being one of them), we’re totally not surprised that the network wants their eyes (and cameras) on the youngest Jenner. Life of Kylie will join Kourtney & Kim Take New York, Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami, Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, and Rob & Chyna (just to name a few) in the Kardashian spin-off universe.
“Kylie’s beauty, business savvy, and fashion icon status have made her one of the most famous and successful young women on the planet,” said E!’s executive vice president of programming and development Jeff Olde in a statement. “Kylie has achieved so much at such as young age, and we know the E! audience will be thrilled now that she is ready to share an insider look at her every day life.”
Kylie also commented, saying, “The last couple years have been such an incredible journey with the support of my fans. This show will allow me to give them a peek inside all of the exciting things I am working on, as well as some personal time with friends.” Sounds like she’s not ready for that farm just yet.
While there’s no word on a premiere date just yet, we should be able to tune into all of the Kylie action this summer.
