Remember those troll dolls you used to play with when you were younger? Naked, pretty damn ugly, and with neon shades of hair? Well, in a surprise development, they are now breaking into the world of beauty.
MAC is teaming up with the brightly hued dolls for their next collaboration, and it’s going to be just as colorful as you could imagine. The MAC Good Luck Trolls collection will celebrate the toys, which have been gracing us with their presence since the '60s.
According to MAC, the collection will be “as silly as the characters themselves.” We thought we were excited about Rihanna's upcoming makeup line, but this could potentially outdo it.
While we don’t have much info just yet, the collection will be comprised of 22 pieces—a combination of colorful lipsticks, lipglasses, pigments, glitters, powders, a brush, and more—all appropriately named, of course. Prices will range from $17 to $43, with the Duo Fibre Face Brush being the most pricey. The products we're most looking forward to? "Twerkquoise," a transparent sky blue Lipglass with pink reflection, and "Dance Off Pants Off," a frosted hot pink lipstick.
James Gager, creative director and senior vice president of MAC, said in a statement, “The Good Luck Trolls have evoked love and joy since the 1960s. We are so happy we can put the spotlight on them again. MAC Cosmetics celebrates pop culture and fantasy—and brings these enchanting characters to life—through this eclectic, bright-hued collection.”
The collection is due to launch online on July 28, and will hit stores August 4.
