Serena Williams Confirms Pregnancy With A Precious Letter To Her Baby
Once a number one, always a number one
Love is alive and love is well. Serena Williams is serving it up today, too, with a tiny letter that also just so happens to be her official pregnancy confirmation.
"My Dearest Baby," Williams begins. "You gave me the strength I didn’t know I had. You taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace. I can't wait to meet you."
The letter comes in the form of an Instagram update featuring a selfie of Williams touching her belly. She expresses her excitement in going to tournaments together and sharing the title of world's greatest athlete with them. It's the kind of earnestness that can make even the coldest of hearts melt just a little.
Williams' fiance, reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, also joined in on the celebration with a post of his own featuring an illustration of the family done to look like the Reddit alien species, Snoo. (Today also happens to be Ohanian's birthday.) Talk about a gift that will truly keep on giving. BRB, while I try to find the places in my life where love is alive.
