Artist, muse, and non-famous person Shia LaBeouf is set to help elevate current Central Saint Martins graduates’ thesis shows to be the best, most authentic products they can possibly be. He has lent both his time and mind to 36 students in the form of 30-second video introductions for their respective end-of-year work. At times, actor LaBeouf becomes breather LaBeouf; at others, LaBeouf transforms into angry LaBeouf. He stands before a green screen that will eventually be filled with the students’ work. Now, however, gaze upon 36 introductions sans art. Or is art inherently contained within the green screen? Perhaps this is an exercise of the imagination. Perhaps this is art in its purest form. Perhaps we perhaps the perhaps. Art.
