If you're not already familiar with the concept of "showtime," here's a rundown: On Friday and Saturday nights, teens and dance groups take over subway cars and put on a show. They swing from the poles, flip around, all the while contorting their bodies in a moving vehicle. It's entertaining and infectious. But, what on earth do dancers do when they're waiting for the train to come?
I.aM.mE crew member and former So You Think You Can Dance contestant Phillip Chbeeb and Renee Kester choreographed a routine to Elliot Moss' "Slip." Melding hip-hop and ballet elements with contemporary dance, the three-minute performance is captivating and possibly even gravity-defying.
