Any and every time Urban Decay announces a new palette, the beauty world stops what it's doing and turns to their phones. The brand’s Naked palettes have long been cult-favorites, and its “Full Spectrum” product was the color junkie’s answer to the previous selection of nudes. The company pretty much has a monopoly on the eye portion of beauty, and they’re staking their claim even further with the new “Afterdark” palette.
Revealed yesterday on Urban Decay’s Facebook page, the forthcoming palette is a jewel-toned dream, “created with the late-night rendezvous in mind.” It includes 10 shimmery shades better suited for after-dark adventures than sitting at a desk all day. There’s a glistening blue by the name of “Paralyzed,” an eye-popping copper that goes by “Off Duty,” and an intriguing gold, appropriately titled “Sinful.”
Judging from the 2,500 likes and counting on the brand’s Facebook post, UD fans are ready to start making “things a little more dangerous and a lot more fun,” as the brand promises the palette will do. It will be released “soon” exclusively to Sephora, hopefully, in the following weeks. Our holiday party outfits could benefit from a little bit of “Lounge,” a red-and-green shade, swiped across our lids.
