Valfré Creates Its Own Utopia for The Latest Collection

It’s our kind of perfect world

Valfré is a NYLONshop vet—and by taking one look at the line, it's easy to see why. The L.A.-based clothing and accessories label is where the Mexican-born artist, Ilse Valfré, has brought her work to life in the form of fun and quirky pieces for all. However, this season, the designer is bringing her clothing into a new, more sophisticated light with the Utopia Collection.

While we’ve long loved the line’s heavy graphic influence—from cartoon scribbled tees to graphic accessories—the new collection is much cleaner, more elegant, and less illustration heavy. You can expect luxe velvets with heart-shaped cutouts over cotton tees and lots of deep jewel tones and leopard print. It seems that Valfré has somewhat reinvented itself as a brand, but we can’t say we’re surprised. After all, the brand self-proclaims “that the true fashion girl doesn’t place herself in a box by limiting herself to one style.” We couldn't agree more.
