Adidas And Arizona Iced Tea Teamed Up To Launch 99-Cent Sneakers
And it's to tease an even bigger reveal to come
UPDATE 7/18/19: The pop-up has been temporarily shutdown by the NYPD. We will update this article again when it reopens.
Calling all sneakerheads and lovers of bodega beverages: Adidas and AriZona Iced Tea have teamed up for quite the collaboration.
Inspired by the cult-favorite beverage's iconic imagery, Adidas is launching four special-edition footwear styles that reimagine the brand's classic cans as footwear. Two silhouettes, the Yung 1 and Continental sneakers, will be available in two colorways: one featuring the bright neon pink, yellow, and teal colors found on the lemon iced tea can, and the other incorporating embroidered Japanese cherry blossoms found on its green tea can.
The best part of all? They'll only cost you 99 cents!
Starting tomorrow, a two-day pop-up will take place at 208 Bowery in New York City. It's here, and here only (at least for now), that you can snag these shoes exclusively as a gift with purchase of a $.99 can of AriZona Iced Tea. May we suggest getting in line right now.
Not in New York? Fear not. According to Adidas, this is just a teaser of a bigger reveal to come later this year. Stay tuned!
