8@8: Your Morning Scoop

Shay Mitchell is getting her own reality show

Today is...

National Rubber Ducky Day!

News of the Day:

+ It looks like Shay Mitchell may be TV's next big reality star. The actress is getting her very own eight-episode series, focusing on her life as she enters the next phase of her career post-Pretty Little Liars. Shades of Shay will be available on Fullscreen's subscription-video service sometime in early 2017, so stay tuned.

+ This year's Boston Calling lineup has been announced, and it's too good. You can expect performances from Chance The Rapper, Solange, Bon Iver, and more. You can grab your passes for the May 26 to 28 festival here.

+ Just in case you thought your Harry Potter fandom couldn’t be satisfied anymore, there’s now a Harry Potter-themed pasta restaurant in Brooklyn, New York, named Pasta Wiz. Aside from themed decor, such as Hogwarts-like chandeliers, the restaurant’s pasta options are *magically* ready within three to five minutes of ordering. Hmmm, sounds pretty enchanting to us.

+ Attention all NYCers: be sure to check out the massive “Nasty Women” exhibit taking place in Queens’ Knockdown Center this weekend, showcasing work from almost 700 different artists across the U.S. Hundreds of pieces of art will adorn giant letters that spell out “Nasty Women,” with proceeds benefitting Planned Parenthood.

+ Loyle Carner has collaborated with Tom Misch once again, this time on his latest single, "Damselfly." Check out all of its bluesy, jazz-filled goodness, below.

Deal of the Day:

Just in time for Aaliyah's birthday this Monday, label J. Papa has put out a tribute crop tee. The top reads "Baby Girl," the late singer's nickname. You can snag one for yourself here

Advice of the Day:

"I'm a total weirdo and have often felt like an outcast and a freak, and I love that. It makes things so much more exciting." —Zoë Kravitz
