Adam Rippon Wore A Harness To The Oscars, And It’s Everything

Talk about a red carpet debut

No shade but when it comes to fashion, the men who walk awards season red carpets could try a little harder. Typically dressed in black or navy suits and tuxes, they're the palate cleansers between showstopping gowns.

Well, not on Adam Rippon's watch. No way, no sir. For his Academy Awards red carpet debut, the Olympic bronze medalist pulled up with bronze medalist Mirai Nagasu in a Jeremy Scott-designed Moschino suit complete with a leather harness and bow tie. In the words of Tyra Banks, "Hoe, but make it fashion." Honestly? Iconic. Ms. Banks referenced her own meme to praise Rippon. If that's not a gold medal performance, then show me what is. And all Rippon did was show up.

“Dressed to impress in @moschino. Getting ready for the Oscars with @accessonline! Huge thank you to the brill, beautiful, and kind, @itsjeremyscott," Rippon shared on Instagram ahead of the red carpet.

Dressing to impress is one thing but dressing to depress those around you because of how good you look is another. Bravo!
