Ariana Grande Remembers Mac Miller In Emotional Post

“I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix or take your pain away”

by Taylor Bryant

It’s been a week since Mac Miller’s death. Friends and colleagues are still figuring out ways to honor and cope with his passing, including ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande. Despite horrible people blaming her for his death, the singer took to Instagram to remember the late rapper.

“I adored you from the day I met you when I was nineteen and I always will,” she writes. “I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. I really can’t wrap my head around it.” The caption accompanies a video of Miller telling a story while wearing a hoodie that reads: “Everything will be ok.”

In the days following Miller’s death, his friends have talked about how incredible Grande was in pushing for his sobriety. She alludes to that, writing: “We talked about this. So many times… I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to.” She ends the message on a somber note. “The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you’re okay now. Rest.”
