13 Best-Dressed Looks From The Oscars After-Party
The stars managed to wow us one more time
Last night’s 89th Academy Awards ceremony was definitely one to remember—and for a number of reasons. But after the broadcast had ended, our film favorites went on to celebrate amongst each other at Vanity Fair’s official after-party in Beverly Hills.
That, of course, just means that there was a whole other round of gorgeous couture gowns to ogle over (and, with the insane plot twist from the last five minutes, we assumed a little partying was much needed).
The after-party red carpet proved to boast looks just as beautiful and intricate as the ones we saw for the actual ceremony, not to mention much more daring. Many of those who were in attendance at the ceremony this year swapped out their look for yet another gown. The rest of our celebrity favorites—from actresses and supermodels to Olympian athletes—showed up to join the party dressed to the nines.
Below, we rounded up 13 of our favorite looks from last night’s celebration.
Just when we were finally done swooning over Janelle Monae’s incredible ceremony gown, she changed into this amazing Alexandre Vaulthier belted dress to attend the after-party.
How to keep a one-sleeved dress looking balanced? Pair it with a super-high leg slit, like Katy Perry in this stunner by Jean Paul Gaultier.
Ruth Negga owned the red carpet yesterday, changing from her red Valentino gown to this sequined Oscar de la Renta frock.
Hailee Steinfeld rocked another sheer Ralph & Russo gown for last night’s party.
Jessica Biel swapped her gold-and-silver Oscars look for this bronze, caped beauty by Ralph Lauren.
Lily Collins is literally perfect in this gorgeous Elie Saab gown.
Kate Bosworth gave us ballerina princess vibes in this J. Mendel tulle gown.
Naomie Harris stuck to wearing white for the after-party in this simple one-strapped gown.
Rooney Mara made quite the eco-conscious statement, opting to wear this custom-made ethereal, ruffled dress from H&M’s sustainable Conscious Exclusive Collection.
We’re pretty in love with this totally ‘80s Ronald van der Kemp dress Sarah Paulson wore to the party.
Nina Dobrev was a mix of sporty and glamorous in this lingerie-inspired Dior dress.
Zoe Kravitz paired her bleached waves with this jaw-dropping, backless back gown.
Gabby Douglas looked beyond elegant in this structured, sparkling gown.
