Watch The Stunning New Video For CHVRCHES’ “Clearest Blue”

We guess it's true what they say: The third time's a charm. After giving us memorable visuals for the first two cuts off their sophomore album Every Open Eye, Scottish electronic act CHVRCHES just dropped the video for the album highlight "Clearest Blue," and it's one for the ages. Directed by Warren Fu, the clip finds our doe-eyed heroine both in a metallic forest and a head-banging club. It's a beautiful, dark twisted fantasy, a fairy tale for the melancholy and the morose. 

Since breaking out in 2013, frontwoman Lauren Mayberry has emerged as one of the most distinct voices in music. Meanwhile, "Clearest Blue" has been widely heralded as one of the best tracks of 2015. So, it's only fitting that it gets what's sure to be one of the best videos of 2016. It's baroque, surreal, and macabre, all at once. Watch above.
