Citizen’s Fans Will Be Pleased To Know “Fever Days” Is Officially Here

The studio version of Citizen's "Fever Days" has been a long time coming. The five-piece, after all, has been playing it live for a minute now. "We snuck it into the set as soon as we could," guitarist Nick Hamm says. "Finally releasing it feels like letting out a deep breath."

Patience pays off here. It's a big song. Like, really big. "The bass riff reminded me of something that might be on a Savages record," Hamm adds, "but the chorus is giant." Think of it as the more aggressive sibling to this summer's "In the Middle of It All," another track lifted from Citizen's forthcoming album, As You Please.

Rock 'n' roll is far from dead, dear readers. As Citizen's Mat Kerekes sings in the new song, "Fever days are here." This is exactly the type of vibe necessary for getting through the rest 2017. Rock on.
