Converse x Andy Warhol

You'll probably never stop seeing that can of soup, but you can't really complain about it.more

Converse is partnering with The Andy Warhol Foundation to bring what seemed to be a long awaited crossover of two icons. The Chuck Taylor All Star has and still continues to play a prominent role in pop culture as donned by many artists, creatives, and more, today and in past years. Many used to see an artist you may know of as Keith Haring, who was very close to Warhol, repping his iconic red pair of high tops. Creative renegades of all types whether it be art, music, etc. took the sneaker that first functioned on the basketball court and adapted it to a completely different world of self-expression. Warhol, the father of Pop Art, continues to live on since 1987, possibly even stronger than ever, as the Andy Warhol Foundation his iconic imagery to the sneaker with the perfect canvas. The styles display the infamous "Soup Can" in different colorways as well as patterns.

The collaboration releases tomorrow February 7, 2015 at select retailers such as Bodega as well as directly at Converse.
