Every season, we look to the runways for some major wardrobe inspiration from our favorite designers. However, many things sashaying down the catwalk aren’t directly translatable into our practical, everyday wardrobes—unless you’re more of a fashion risk-taker and have a really awesome creative job. Some things we see on the runway are just too straight-up weird.
Some of the pieces are much more wearable, though. We certainly would love to wear Rodarte’s cascading floral earrings to a spring soiree and we may find that J. W. Anderson’s scale-like booties are the perfect match to an all-black ensemble. On the other hand, we’re not so sure we’d rock Sibling’s knit headphones on our early morning jog. Again, the runway is all about inspiration. While we don't know if Vivienne Westwood's phallic chokers will actually be the next big thing for fall, they'll certainly spark a slew of more wearable (read: office-appropriate) trends.
We rounded up some of the best out-there accessories—from cool and quirky to, well, interesting—from the New York, London, Milan, and Paris runways. Click through the gallery below to check out our picks. Go ahead, get weird.
