Dev Hynes Announces LGBTQIA+ Music & Art Youth Workshop

The artist gives back in a positive way

by Hafeezah Nazim

Dev Hynes has been steadily leaving his mark on the world over the past few years. From garnering mass critical acclaim for his latest record, Freetown Sound, to collaborating with artists like Solange, FKA twigs, and Blondie, it seems that there is nothing the multitalented artist can't do. And, his latest venture is just further proof that he is not going to stop making an impact, this time, by giving back to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Hynes recently announced a new music and art workshop for queer youth, that will be located at The Center. The NYC-based workshop is slated to take place on the last Saturday of June.

Hynes has always been vocal about his support for the LGBTQIA+ community. He constantly cites queer artists as a source of inspiration to him and consistently challenges notions of masculinity, queerness, and identity by refusing to ascribe a label to his sexuality.

So far, there are no details regarding the registration or what the workshops will entail, but we're sure it will be one to remember.
