Watch Ellie Goulding’s ’50 Shades Of Grey’ Music Video
“love me like you do”
When it was announced that the BDSM-centric 50 Shades of Grey trilogy was being adapted for the silver screen, sexually-awakened housewives and sexually-frustrated teenagers around the world held emergency book club meetings. Meanwhile, Hollywood execs screamed with joy, and quickly tapped really great musicians for the soundtrack: Beyoncé, The Weeknd, and, most recently, Ellie Goulding.
And even though it's easy to see how the song's title, "Love Me Like You Do," and lyrics ("I'll let you set the pace / Cause I'm not thinking straight / My head's spinning around / I can't see clear no more / What are you waiting for? / Love Me Like You Do") fit the 50 Shades plot, Goulding's execution manages to make a movie with a Valentine's Day release date seem less cheesy. With soaring melodies and a hint of synth, we can picture a couple unwittingly choosing it as their wedding song.
The music video, released this morning, clips between Goulding and her lover and unseen Fifty Shades clips, giving you an even closer look into the movie before its February 13 release.
So even though the film won't feature full-frontal male nudity, much to the disappointment of the aforementioned pre-teens and housewives, something good seems to have come out of this film.
