Previously, we chatted with Slashed by Tia's Teni Adeola about putting together her NYFW debut. The day has come and gone and damn was it a spectacle. Imagine: a runway filled with glowing goddesses dressed in sheer and sparkly ruffles, flipping their braids as they approached the front of the venue, the grand altar at the Church of Ascension. Sounds like a dream, right?

Early critiques of The Lion King have already noted the uncanny valley aspect of the computer-generated animals, and they are not wrong. It's hugely distracting—and the addition of an A-list cast voicing those animals makes it even worse.
