Finn Wolfhard’s Band Dropped Its Debut Single

Nothing strange here

by Hayden Manders

Finn Wolfhard is living the dream. A successful show, a major movie project in the works, satiable wokeness, and a side hustle that's just getting started—the 15-year-old is doing the most, to intimidatingly good effect.

This week, Wolfhard's band, Calpurnia, dropped its debut single. It's called "City Boy," and, wouldn't ya know, it's great. With lead guitarist Ayla Tesler-Mabe, bassist Jack Anderson, and drummer Malcolm Craig, Calpurnia puts your long-lost jam band dreams to shame. They're out here doing the damn thing and honestly, just happy to be here. "We’re super proud of it!" the band says in an announcement. "Listen to it once, twice, or as many times as you want!"

Or, watch the video that brings the jam session to life, complete with cosmic illustrations and plenty of feel-good vibes to go around. "Hopefully this video can convey how much fun this whole experience was for all of us," the band says, "and that this music is really just the product of a bunch of friends who love music coming together to create something." We love wholesome talent!
