FKA Twigs Invites Us To Bed In Her Brand New Video

because it feels so “good to love”

by Sydney Gore

We thought we'd seen FKA twigs at her most intimate in the spread for Calvin Klein #mycalvins campaign, but boy were we wrong. Today, the multidimensional artist released a brand new song produced by herself and Rick Nowels called "Good to Love." Following the track's live premiere during Soundtrack 7 residency at the Manchester International Festival, twigs recently teased a photo on Instagram and then dropped the self-directed music video for it today. The black-and-white visual reminds us of twigs circa 2013 when she was still a lesser known artist to most of the public. (Specifically prior to the captivating "Papi Pacify" music video.)

As always, twigs' accessory game is on point. The song itself is different than her previous tunes with a heavier focus on capturing the pure elements of instrumentals. Through the speakers, we can feel her voice aching as she sings “When you give yourself away, it always hurts too much, so I pray to get it back."

Twigs is expected to perform the track live on The Tonight Show next Wednesday, February 24. (It happens to be the same program on which she made her U.S. television debut last year.) We look forward to hearing and seeing more as we wait for the follow-up to the M3LL155X EP.
