meet the model: gisele pletzer

we love this nylon girl, and you will too.

by bianca iarrobino

You might remember her face from seeing it plastered all over our social media, from being the star of our first holiday feature of the season, or maybe from that killer beauty edit in the October 2014 It Girl issue. Regardless of where you've seen her, there's no way you could forget about model Gisele Pletzer (or her incredible eyebrows!). Click through the gallery to see a few of our favorite Gisele moments and check out our Q&A to see why we can't get enough of this Aussie girl.

Name: Gisele Pletzer

Hometown: Brisbane, Australia

Instagram/Social Handle: Instagram--- @giselemop

Email: princessblondie@bigpond.com

Agency: One Management

Agency’s social handle: @onemanagement

1) Favorite place to grab a bite in NYC?

I try somewhere different every time! Best place for a grocery shop is Trader Joe’s- although I walk out of there feeling homicidal every time. That line is a bitch.

2) Go-to pump up jam?

I Need You Tonight by INXS

3) Item in your closet you can't live without?

Doc Martens. We’re a package deal.

4) How long have you been a model?

About 2.5ish years

5) When you're not running to castings, you are…

I’m either on the couch in a tracksuit with a plate of food balancing on my stomach, or looking in the fridge. My roommates can attest to that.

6) What's it like working so frequently with NYLON?

I love it. Everyone is so creative and passionate about what they do. The ideas don’t just come from one person, every one can contribute and that is SO important because it makes such a difference to the shoot.

7) What do you like most about the NYLON vibe/atmosphere?

It’s super fun and chill. There’s nothing worse than when you get to work and everyone's just hating life and doesn’t want to be there. It’s never like that with Nylon.

8) We're still obsessing over your October beauty editorial—which look was your fave?

It was definitely the punk one with the cornrows and the overalls. The attitude for that look was very me so it was super easy for me to get really into it. (p.s can someone please give me cornrows every day for the rest of my life?!)

(Remember when our editor in chief, Michelle Lee, got cornrows from the October beauty edit?
