Halsey Just Dropped A Wrecking Ball Of A Banger On Us

Eyes wide open for “Eyes Closed”

Halsey is only about a month away from unleashing her sophomore full-length album on the world, and we still don't feel prepared for what's to come. Last month, our former cover star gave us a first taste of her new vision with the single "Now or Never." Today, the alt-pop star premiered another track called "Eyes Closed" on Beats 1 Radio with Zane Lowe.

The song is a moody, slow burner dripping in lust, sweat, and tears. "If I keep my eyes closed/ He looks just like you/ But he'll never stay/ They never do," she sings with heat on her breath. The eery track rings like an anthem for a battle of the heart; we totally envision her shouting every line into the moonlit sky as a storm begins to form. Halsey always had a way with words, and this is another dark but enchanting tune to add to her irresistible spell book.

Hopeless fountain kingdom officially drops on June 2 via Astralwerks. Feast your ears on the hot track, below.

Halsey is also gearing up for her headlining tour, with support from Charli XCX and PARTYNEXTDOOR, this fall. (Shout-outs to our cover girls for doing big things!) Mark your calendar with all the dates and purchase tickets here.
