H&M Just Announced Its Latest Designer Collaboration
Brace yourselves for Erdem x H&M
Ring the alarms: The time has finally come for H&M to announce its next big designer collaboration, and we couldn’t be more excited about it. We’ve just learned that the retailer has teamed up with London-based designer Erdem for a collection that's coming to select stores and online on November 2 (just in time for the holiday season).
The offering is expected to be a reinterpretation of some of the designer’s most iconic themes, prints, and textiles of the collections past. With that being said, we’re expecting a gorgeous array of ethereal florals and Victorian-esque silhouettes—quite the polar opposite from the last year’s electrifying prints courtesy of Kenzo.
Also joining the team? The one and only Baz Luhrmann, who will be bringing the collection to life in the form of a film.
While we don’t have many details of the collection just yet, from the film’s teaser, we can spot a few floral dresses, a must-have leopard print coat, and some killer menswear—a first foray for the designer.
“I am so happy to collaborate with H&M, and to explore my work on a whole new scale, including a menswear collection which I have never done before,” said Erdem in a press release. “It’s also such a thrill to work with Baz Lurhmann, one of the most important storytellers of our time.”
Can November come any sooner? Stay tuned for more details to come.
