Well, Here’s The Trailer For Timothée Chalamet’s Next Oscar Nomination

Call me by your drug dealer’s name

It's a tale as old as time: Boy gets sent to live with his aunt for the summer; boy parties for the first time; boy falls in love; boy starts to deal marijuana. It's a classic story made even more classic now that indie powerhouse A24 has picked up Hot Summer Nights, the new Elijah Bynum-directed movie starring current internet boyfriend Timothée Chalamet.

Set in Cape Cod during one unassuming summer, Chalamet plays Daniel, a quiet teenager turned raucous businessman thanks to Alex Roe's Hunter Strawberry, the town's resident drug dealer. And because things usually happen in twos or threes, Daniel falls head over heels with the dealing and the dealer's sister, McKayla (It Follow's Maika Monroe). It's a recipe for a gritty summer to remember, for better or for worse. As Bynum's first feature film, it's also a hell of a debut with an actor primed for Oscar gold.

After all, Chalamet is already on the Academy's watch thanks to 2017's screen adaptation of André Aciman's Call Me by Your Name, which scored him a well-deserved Best Actor nomination. Like wearing your pajamas inside out the night before a snowstorm in hopes of a snow day, perhaps if you wear your Andrew Mania-designed Timothée Chalamet shirt long enough, he'll get an Oscar this time around. Get to ironing (and watching the trailer!).

Hot Summer Nights will be available exclusively on DIRECTV on June 28 and hits theaters July 27.
