We pick up where Catching Fire left off: Fresh out of the Quarter Quell, "victors" Peeta Mellark and Johanna Mason are brought back to the Capitol, where they have the distinct pleasure of standing at the hand of President Snow. The claustrophobic colors of the Capitol are gone, leaving behind an eerie bleached world thankfully not void of Alexander Wang and marble bangles.
Our "heroes" may not be all themselves, but at least they have the "distinct honor" of being the first Capitol citizens with a Living Portrait. Check out Peeta, fresh in a Maison Martin Margiela suit and David Mason paper collar, and Johanna, in a plunging architectural Alon Livne gown, in their minute-long 360-degree photos of glory. Call them the new Panem posing possé, if you so please.
Panem today. Panem tomorrow. Panem forever, eh?
