Even before Disclosure and Lorde's "Magnets" dropped, it was clear that it would be one of the greatest sonic collaborations of the year. Then, when it was released in September, the Internet's greatest dreams were realized: it was dark, broody, cinematic, and an ultimate banger. Surprisingly, though, it wasn't reimagined over and over. Perhaps that was because the track already seemed to be the ultimate version of itself, or perhaps it was because it already had such a heavy electronic spin on it to begin with. But one brave soul—producer Jon Hopkins—took a go at the song, transforming it into a manic, echoing viral version of itself. It's a bit more atmospheric and club-minded, but no better and no worse than the original; it's just different.
