Justin Bieber’s New Song “Let Me Love You” Is Summer In Song Form

Just in time for the weekend

by Ben Barna

Justin Bieber is thirsty for that Song of the Summer crown. In late July he dropped “Cold Water,” a surprise single featuring Major Lazer and MØ, that’s been resting comfortably in the upper reaches of the iTunes charts ever since. But that wasn’t enough for Justin Bieber. He had to do more. So today, again out of nowhere, comes “Let Me Love You,” another piece of pristine tropic pop, furthering the pop star's growing trademark sound.

But here, regular Bieber collaborators Diplo and Skrillex—who've been credited with crafting Bieber's new sonic aesthetic—are nowhere to be found. The production wiz behind this summer jam is actually DJ Snake, and the song is off his debut album Encore. Recruiting Bieber was a savvy move for the producer, since the track is already in the second spot on iTunes, and based on that sticky hook might climb even higher. Listen to it below.
