Karen Walker Wants You To Reimagine Your Eye Makeup

Meet Eyeshadow, her latest collection of sunglasses

When it comes to eyewear, designer Karen Walker doesn’t create just any run-of-the-mill sunglasses. Rather, she designs pieces that should be considered statement-making “face wear.” Season after season, her quirky and fun styles—whether they pay homage to the old days or are an ode to the future—add the final touch to any outfit, or, rather even, make the look.

Her latest offering certainly does not disappoint. For her new Eyeshadow collection, Walker wants you to reimagine your eye makeup. Rather than creating your look with the use of eyeshadow or eyeliner, the new sunnies are here to do the work for you.

Eyeshadow is comprised of three new rimless styles that are available in soft pastels, as well as smoked out and mirrored shades. “For our soft tints, we wanted a look that was very pared back—almost as if you’d just dusted your eyes with the lightest touch of powder,” she says. Of course, her darker and mirrored versions make a much more dramatic statement—replacing that tricky and time-consuming smoky eye.

For the campaign, Walker teamed up with M.A.C Cosmetics to pair each shade with a bold, off-kilter lipstick color from their ColourRocker matte lipstick collection. In our opinion, we don’t think we’ve seen a more appropriate fashion and beauty pairing in quite some time.

We’ll take one in every color and style, please. And sunnies at night, rather than an hour-long routine trying to perfect our cat eye? We’re all for it.

The styles are available starting today at and will hit luxury retailers such as Net-A-Porter, Barneys, and Nordstrom starting next week. Click through the gallery below to check out more of the new styles from the new Eyeshadow collection.
