Karen Walker Just Dropped A Size-Inclusive Madewell Collaboration

Ring the alarms! One of our favorite runway designers has teamed up with our go-to denim shop on a brand-new collection—and it’s perfect for the upcoming back-to-school season. Introducing: Madewell x Karen Walker.
After selling her designs at Madewell for years, Walker decided to blend her Cool Girl design aesthetic with Madewell’s Americana vibes for her very first co-designed collaboration with the brand. “We’ve been working with Madewell for many seasons, with it stocking our ready-to-wear,” Walker said over email. “We love it and its stores, so when the team asked if we’d consider a collaboration, we jumped at it. They’re fabulous storytellers who know their way around denim and print, and that’s a great fit for us.”
The 23-piece collection includes both ready-to-wear and sunnies, drawing inspiration from Walker’s designs from over the past two decades. Floral prints were pulled from the archives and reimagined in yellows and violets, while a new dark indigo denim, the Walker Wash, was introduced. For sunnies, we’re seeing new colorways of existing KW shades, as well as entirely new styles.
Oh, and it’s all $200 and under, meaning that we can finally get our hands on some Walker-designed goods without breaking the bank.
But, the best part of all? The range is size-inclusive, making this fall-inspired collection fit for all body types. Knits range from XXS to 3X and jeans from 23 to 37, while dresses, skirts, pants, and jumpsuits range from size 00 to 24. “If we hadn’t delivered this type of product with that reach and democratic nature, then we wouldn’t have been doing our jobs,” says Walker.
The collection launched today at Madewell.com, with select pieces available at select Madewell locations as well as Walker’s New Zealand and Tokyo boutiques. Take a look at the full collection, below.
