Kat Von D Launched A ‘Beetlejuice’-Inspired Lipstick

Though it’s not the character you expect…

by Jenna Igneri

We thought we couldn’t love Kat Von D and her cosmetics line more than we already do, that is, until she announced her newest addition to the brand's family of liquid lipsticks would be inspired by the cult classic film (and, obviously, one of our favorites of all time), Beetlejuice.

Despite what you may automatically assume, the new color isn’t anywhere from the deep burgundy to black shade range (and isn't even inspired by Lydia Deetz). In fact, it’s pink. Miss Argentina takes nods from, well, the green-skinned beauty pageant queen from Argentina-turned-Neitherworld receptionist from the film. Accenting her green skin and pink hair combo? A vibrant, fuchsia lip. Yes, please.

While the formula is liquid matte, we can’t help but love the smudgy, glossy effect that Kat Von D makeup artist, Kelseyanna Fitzpatrick, created in the photo above.

You can make Miss Argentina your own now at Sephora.com for just $20. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!
