L’Oréal’s Latest Collab Proves The French Girl Trend Is Here To Stay

Another fashion designer beauty collection is on the way

It looks like our obsession with the “French Girl” aesthetic isn’t going anywhere. The latest fashion designer beauty collection has been announced, and this time, it’s with the ultimate know-it-all of French Girl style, legendary designer Isabel Marant.

WWD reports that the designer, known for her Parisian-bohemian aesthetic, has teamed up with L’Oréal Paris for her first makeup collection, coming this fall.

WWD reports that the line will include products for the eyes, lips, and cheeks to create both natural and smoky looks. But if there’s anything we know about the French Girl look, it’s that it’s all about that effortless no-makeup makeup look. According to Marant, that’s exactly what the collection will offer, as well as some makeup bag essentials to bring her into the night. “I think that corresponds more to the way of life of the Isabel Marant girl,” said Marant. “She is rather natural in the day but doesn’t have the time to go back home before going out [in the evening] and to redo her entire beauty look. So the idea was to have the three or four products that in a flash help sublimate a face with very simple and spontaneous gestures.”

Fashion designers launching beauty lines is, of course, nothing new. Just over the past few months, we’ve seen Erdem team up with NARS and got the lowdown on an upcoming Proenza Schouler and Lancôme collab. As for L’oréal, remember Olivier Rousteing’s epic collab collection with Balmain last summer?

The new line is launching worldwide on September 27, the day of Marant’s Paris Fashion Week runway show. Stay tuned as we find out more details in the coming months.
