M.A.C Is Turning Your Favorite Lipstick Into A Perfume

Ruby Woo, Heroine, Candy Yum-Yum, and more are getting the fragrance treatment

M.A.C has the makeup game on lock. Now, the beauty giant is looking to take over the fragrance industry as well. Via its social media channels, today M.A.C announced that it's releasing a set of fragrances inspired by the brand’s cult-favorite lipstick shades.

Dubbed Shadescents, the collection includes six different perfumes designed to embody the accompanying lipsticks. The ones getting the fragrance treatment are Ruby Woo (duh), Lady Dander, Heroine, Velvet Teddy, Crème d’Nude, and Candy Yum-Yum.

According to Elle, M.A.C created the line with a different approach to scents than other cosmetics brands. Instead of combining multiple notes, each product includes only one. Heroine is all about leather, Candy Yum-Yum, appropriately, is sweet, while Crème d’Nude gives off a musky aroma.

Anxious on when you can start pairing your lipstick with its matching scent? The product is hitting online November 30 and will be available in-store starting December 8. Here's one more thing to add to your holiday wishlist.
