Mean Girls Video Game
pretend like it’s (still) the freakin weekend.

The News: Behold, the Mean Girls Video Game Just when you thought Mean Girls couldn't get any better, this video game-inspired video takes it to the next level of awesome. It's like a choose-your-own-adventure for Cady in terms of dealing with Aaron (Do you apologize to him? Tell him the truth about Regina?!), cafeteria drama, and more. The concept is not real--yet--but watch the video below, because it's only a matter of time before someone comes to their senses and turns this 8-bit idae into reality.
The Look: Sophie Hulme's ShirtdressThis black shirtdress might look prim and proper at first glance, but turn around and you'll see a lot more skin, thanks to the sheer paneling. Business in the front, party in the back?! Yep, this just might be my new Monday M.O.
The Face: Rag and Bone's Minimalist Cat-Eye There's no denying the power of a classic cat-eye. And the best part about the Rag and Bone version from fall 2014 is the fact that the face is entirely bare, save for one statement swoop. This simple flick takes literally two minutes, and looks just as good while you're out with friends as it does at 10 AM on a Monday morning. The Inspiration: Just Cavalli Campaign Spring 2012Jac Jagaciak, Lindsey Wixson and Ruby Aldridge just became my new dream party companions. Clearly these models know how to have a good time, so I'm going to pretend like it's still Saturday night with flowy blouses, denim, and lots of black eyeliner. One way to pretend it's still the weekend? Denial, denial, denial.
The Song: "Victim" - MotherThis slow burning jam from Penn Badgley's new band reminds me of dark dancefloors and hazy late nights. It's laid-back and romantic and leaves you a little bit woozy afterwards...the perfect post-weekend feeling to get you through this upcoming week.
