11 Looks That Slayed At Last Night’s MTV Movie & TV Awards
From buzzcuts to an excess of sequins
While the MTV Movie Awards are always a reason to be excited, ever since we caught wind that the network was officially expanding the ceremony to include TV, we’ve been extra ecstatic. With so many epic TV shows on the air this year, we just knew it was going to be an unforgettable night—and unforgettable it was.
Aside from the new addition of categories, yesterday certainly broke down some major barriers. The awards ceremony took big steps toward LGBTQIA+ inclusivity with moments like the Moonlight stars winning the award for Best Kiss and Emma Watson accepting the first-ever genderless acting award. On top of that, the looks being served on the step-and-repeat were super on point.
Below, we rounded up 11 of the most epic fashion and beauty moments from last night’s red carpet. From an abundance of sequins to further proof that the bleach-and-buzz trend isn’t going anywhere (um, and 13 Reasons Why boys totally killing it on the red carpet), click through below to check out the most iconic looks of the evening.

Ajiona Alexus blew us all away in this stunning Fernando Alberto gown.
Emma Watson, who accepted the first gender-neutral award at last night’s awards ceremony, accented her black-and-sparkling paillette mini dress with a blue ampersand pin, representing solidarity and togetherness in the LGBTQIA+ community.
While we’re totally here for Amandla Stenberg’s pinstriped Fendi dress and coral Mansur Gavriel mules, we can’t keep our eyes off her vibrant blue lip.
