Too many bottles of nail polish remover have been sacrificed to my done-at-home manicures, in which air bubbles, unevenness, bedsheet marks, and chips are certifiably inevitable. I've searched long and hard for some brand—some miracle—that would save me from the shame, but even the most promising bottles never lasted more than three uses before conking out.
